The closing event of the DATIS project, entitled “Accessible tourism starts with accessible information” and taking place on Tuesday 19 May at the Grand Hotel Entourage, will launch a discussion on the importance of digital accessibility for inclusive tourism in the cross-border area between Slovenia and Italy.

Cormons, starting from Riva della Torre
The historic centre of Cormons has been the birthplace and home of many interesting figures such as Zardini, Collodi, Bernardelli, Castellan, Canciani and Sgubin. The “Amîs da Mont Quarine” association aims to commemorate them by recounting their lives and the history of the local area through a series of guided tours featuring dramatic readings, with the intention of developing a series of such tours over time so as to leave a lasting impression on visitors and a lasting memory for local residents. The route winds its way through Riva della Torre, Piazza XXIV Maggio and Via Sauro, ending at the Cret path.

The courtyard of the Vinars tavern in Medea is hosting Italy’s best-known populariser of classical music, Giovanni Bietti. The musicologist, performing either as a solo pianist or alongside percussionist Luca Caponi, will treat the Friulian audience to yet another selection from the extensive classical repertoire of Trinklieder and toasting music, accompanied by a wine tasting featuring wines from the Brumat winery.

From 16 to 17 May , the GO Makers event returns for two days in the historic centre of Gorizia, offering visitors the chance to discover local businesses and the traditional skills behind quality craftsmanship and food and wine. The event features over 50 artisans from the Friuli-Venezia Giulia region, workshops and live demonstrations, as well as tastings with the artisans of flavour.
The Teatro Comunale in Cormons is set to host a nationally significant premiere on Thursday 14 May at 9.00 pm, with the staging of “CARNE”. The new production by the Compagnia Bellanda, presented by ArtistiAssociati – Centro di Produzione Teatrale, uses the language of dance theatre to address the critical issues of the contemporary human condition, focusing on complex phenomena such as social isolation, self-harm and suicide. The production comes to the stage in Cormons with the institutional support of the Friuli Venezia Giulia Region, through the incentives for new productions of December 2024, the Ministry of Culture and the Regional Centre for the Performing Arts.
The Gorizia branch of the A.N.A. is organising Saturday 16 May the “Regional Day of Gratitude for the Solidarity and Sacrifice of the Alpini”, during which the “50th anniversary of the 1976 Friuli earthquake” will also be commemorated.
The Parco della Rimembranza will provide the setting for the celebrations, which will begin at 9.30 am; followed, at 10.30 am, by a procession along Corso Italia to Piazza Vittoria, where commemorative speeches will be given and Holy Mass will be celebrated in the church of Sant’Ignazio.
On Saturday 16 May, the Kulturni Center Lojze Bratuz will host a concert by the band Alenfado, made up of musicians from Palermo who aim to interpret and rearrange old and modern folk songs – not only Portuguese ones – and to perform their own original compositions.

Thursday 14 May at 6.30 pm the Kulturni Center Lojze Bratuž will host the final concert of the series, featuring works by various composers (Puccini, Rota, Offenbach, Cilea, Verdi), in collaboration with the Tailoring department of the Cooperative La Collina in Gorizia.
During the concert, each creation will be worn and presented: a dialogue between voice and fabric, between notes and thread.
