Wanderweg „Sentiero delle Vigne Alte“

The “Sentiero delle Vigne Alte” is undoubtedly the best-known walking route in the Collio. It winds its way through woods, hills and the highest vineyards in the Collio, overlooking the plain on one side and Slovenia on the other, offering panoramic views (hence the trail’s name, Vigne Alte).

The route proposed connects the various start points in: Spessa in Capriva in Friuli, Pradis in Cormons and the village Subida in Cormons. Amongst rows of cypress trees, olive groves, cherry trees, woods, villas and castles and “panoramic views”, you will find yourself immersed in the heart of the Collio, which is not just a land a land of great wines but so much more much more!

The route alternates between dirt tracks, woodland paths and short stretches of tarmac with little traffic, and links up with the route of the Collio Geosite in Russiz Superiore.
